Aelora LLC (“Aelora,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to maintaining a trusted, curated creative community. Privacy, discretion, and data protection are foundational to everything we build.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard information when you access or use the Aelora mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

Aelora is a creative networking platform designed to connect professionals, artists, entrepreneurs, and travelers through location-based discovery, curated membership, messaging, and events.

Information You Provide

When applying for or using Aelora, you may provide:

• Date of birth
• Profile photo(s)
• Biography
• Profession or creative category
• City of residence
• Gender (optional)
• Preferences for connections or recommendations
• Content shared via in-app messaging
• Event RSVPs and participation

Membership is curated and may require approval or access codes.

Some information may be considered sensitive under certain laws. By submitting it, you consent to our processing.

You may edit most profile information directly in the App.

Location Information

Aelora uses location services to enable its map-based discovery feature. You may allow location access:

• Always
• While using the App
• Not at all

If enabled, we collect approximate or precise location depending on your device settings. Location sharing with other users is optional and can be toggled in settings. Even if disabled, general location (city/region) may be inferred via IP address.

Communications

If you message other users, we process that content to deliver the Service. If you contact Aelora support, we collect correspondence.

Automatically Collected Information

We collect:

• Device type and identifiers
• Operating system
• IP address
• Usage patterns
• Interaction activity
• Access times

Used for security, analytics, and product improvement.

Payments

Payments and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple, Google, Stripe, or similar providers. Aelora never stores your credit card details. Payment data is governed by those providers’ privacy policies.

Events

If you RSVP or attend events, we collect participation data and may display limited information to other attendees.

Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

We may use analytics providers such as Google Analytics. We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary. After account deletion:

• Data is retained for up to 90 days for safety purposes
• Then deleted or anonymized

Inactive accounts may be removed after two years. Certain information may be retained for legal compliance or fraud prevention.

By using Aelora, you agree to receive service-related messages, including:

Account Deletion

You may delete your account within the App. Uninstalling alone does not delete your data.

Age Requirement

Aelora is strictly 14+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Accounts found to belong to minors will be removed.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of South Africa, including POPIA. International users also receive GDPR protections.
